What is AIMEP?

Open to young Muslim leaders in Australia and Indonesia, AIMEP is an intensive 7-week program designed to transform the lives of delegates and bring the two countries closer together through cultural, social, interreligious, and intellectual exchange.

With a growing network of more than 200 people, AIMEP alumni include prominent community leaders, educators, politicians, authors, academics, artists, scholars, and other from across the Islamic landscape.

As well as building lasting friendships and professional connections, participants have the opportunity to start joint projects, discuss proactive ideas, and increase mutual understanding between the two nations.

AIMEP is managed by Australia Indonesia Connections; a Melbourne-based consultancy directed by Rowan Gould and Brynna Rafferty-Brown. Partners in Indonesia include the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, and Universitas Paramadina.
